Deaths of Elderly Women Being Investigated

PLANO (WBAP/KLIF) –  A man believed to be in the country illegally is charged with capital murder in the suffocation of an elderly Dallas woman. Plano Police Chief Gregory Rushin says Billy Chemirmir was caught by police after suffocating a 93-year-old Plano woman and stealing her jewelry.

“The suspect forced his way into the bedroom and told the victim go to bed and don’t fight me,” Chief Rushin said. “She complied and the suspect put a pillow over her face causing her to lose consciousness.”

The woman survived, but Police were led to a Dallas address where an 81-year-old woman was found dead. Police say Chemirmir could be linked to several other assaults and possibly deaths in other cities. Chemirmir is a former healthcare worker and is believed to have impersonated maintenance workers at a Dallas retirement home.
