Cleburne, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – Governor Gregg Abbott on Tuesday toured a new 50-million dollar Mexico-based pasta plant in Cleburne.
The plant creates some 400 jobs for Cleburne and Johnson County. Abbott praised officials of La Moderna – Mexico’s largest pasta manufacturer — for its vow to expand the facility which would put more people to work.

Five years ago, Abbott made it a priority to bring the company to Texas. At the grand opening event Tuesday, Mexico’s Secretary of Foriegn Affairs praised Abbott for bring the two countries together.
The state of the art facility began operations 3 weeks ago.
