DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – A donation from a well known Dallas business is expected to bring a smile to the faces of hundreds of children across Dallas County.
Medieval Times donated found itself with more than 300 stuffed teddy bears left over from a Valentines Day promotion and decided to give them to Dallas County Deputies to distribute to children during routine calls. The business presented the stuffed animals to the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department Friday. Interim Sheriff Marian Brown said the bears give comfort to kids in scary situations and often times are donated.
“We typically get donations and so we don’t have to go out and fund this effort,” Sheriff Brown said. “And we’re thankful for that.”
Deputies will carry the bears with them in their cars until they’re all handed out.
