Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – An unusual warrant roundup starts in Dallas Saturday. It will be focused on clearing the city’s 10,000 outstanding animal-related warrants. The Dallas Marshal’s office says they include such things as violations for tethered or loose animals, failing to surrender animals for quarantine, or interfering with animal-control officers. Because of the high number the warrant roundup could last for several weeks. The greatest number of outstanding animal-related warrants is concentrated in southeast Dallas and Pleasant Grove. Residents are urged to resolve the warrants as quickly as possible because “if the Marshals have to look for you, you’re going to jail when they find you.”
