Fort Worth (WBAP/KLIF) – A North Texas activist group is fighting Jeff Sessions’ marijuana stance.
Joshua Raines is an Army veteran whose seizures went away dramatically once he started taking medicinal cannabis — he says the end game for their movement is ending prohibition. He and the rest of DFW Norml say Sessions’ desire to take away states’ rights when it comes to marijuana is government overreach and contrary to conservative principles.
Our Scott Sidway talked with organizers:
A former Army veteran and all with cerebral palsy say if Jeff Sessions has his way by taking medical cannabis out of states rights, they’ll have to either go back to opioids, which they consider dangerous, or underground. Called the move the opposite of progress. pic.twitter.com/xc3W4ys3df
