Frisco, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – A former first responder has played it forward for a second year with his ‘ Feed a Hero’ program.
Jim Searles founded the organization with the goal of delivering holiday meals to fire and policemen who found themselves working on Christmas Day.
Last year, Searles and his volunteers delivered 450 MEALS; yesteday that number over tripled to about 1500.
Searles eventually wants to reach every policeman and fireman in the DFW metroplex
Going full circle @WinCoFoods ? How cool is it that we bought this mountain of brisket (1600lbs) and then two of Denton's own help deliver it to police/fire on Christmas? pic.twitter.com/I7Av8BITPE
