Fort Worth Officer Fired After Body Cam Review

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) Fort Worth – Police Chief Joel Fitzgerald has fired an officer over the way he handled a domestic violence call last August. Sergeant Kenneth Pierce reportedly became impatient when a woman was producing identification and caused an unnecessary physical confrontation. He ordered another office to tase her.

Fort Worth Chief Fitzgerald released the body cam video to the public, that he says will show the termination was warranted.

Charges against the woman involved were dropped and she was not identified because the incident involved domestic violence.
