Arlington, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – A man who is required to use a drunken driving detector in his vehicle has been charged with manslaughter in the death of an Arlington teen.
Police say Blake Cowan plowed into 18-year old Alexis Butler’s Camry on November 10th.
In a variation to the initial story he told police, Cowan says his ignition interlock device had fallen onto the floor of his pickup and that he crashed when bending down to pick it up.
Arlington police charged Cowan with manslaughter after confirming that he was speeding at the time of the crash. He was not impaired at the time.
