RICHARDSON (WBAP/KLIF) – The father of a missing Richardson toddler has changed his story to Police.
3-year-old Sherin Matthews was last seen weeks ago after her father, Wesley Matthews, initially told Police he left her alone in an alley as punishment. A day after Police found a young girl’s body less than a mile from the Matthews home, the father changed his story. Matthews, accompanied by his attorney, went to Police Monday under his power. According to an arrest affidavit, Matthews says his daughter choked on her milk while he was asking her to drink it in the garage. He said she wasn’t breathing so he removed her body from the home.
Matthews has been charged with Injury to a Child. Bond was set at $1 million.
