Energy Secretary and Former Texas Governor Rick Perry is among those being considered to replace John Kelly as the Secretary of Homeland Security. According to Bloomberg News, Perry is just one of several people the President is looking at to fill the post. The position opened up when President Trump named Kelly as his new Chief of State to replace Reince Priebus. But, it doesn’t sound like Perry is interested in the job, at least not publicly. Robert Haus, the director of public affairs for the department issued a statement to Bloombery saying, “Secretary Perry is honored to be mentioned, but loves what he’s doing.”
