(WBAP/KLIF) The DFW Salvation Army is always in need of community support. This week, they got that support from Westlake ACE Hardware with a large donation of 433 fans for families in need to help beat the Texas summer heat. Reports show that heat is a real danger for the elderly, families with young children and those with medical issues. Director of Marketing & Communications for the Salvation Army Pat Patey says donations like these are life changing: “This Texas heat can be a real killer and one of the things the Salvation Army has been able to do is provide heat relief with our cooling stations for the last several years.”
