DALLAS (AP) – Dallas Police officials say a year-long investigation into the July 7, 2016, ambush shooting that killed five Dallas law enforcement officers and injured nine others as well as two civilians will be turned over to the Dallas County District attorney’s office early next week. Police say investigators collected about 200 shell casings and reviewed almost 500 hours of camera footage from the shooting.
