Arlington (WBAP/KLIF News) – Construction around Arlington City Hall has led to a change in the location the city will launch fireworks. Tens of thousands of people are expected to watch the show in the entertainment district and downtown Monday night.
“Light up Arlington” will be launched from the municipal office tower, two blocks east of City Hall. By midday Monday, people had filled Levitt Pavilion with chairs.
Music at Levitt Pavilion starts at 7:30.
At Globe Life Park, the Texas Rangers host the Red Sox at 7:00. The city expects the game to draw thousands to the city, along with people who may park in one of the Rangers’ or Cowboys’ lots to watch the show.
“It’s a great partnership that we have with our sports teams,” says Arlington Community Relations Coordinator Norm Lyons. “Arlington is really on the move.”
Fireworks in Arlington are scheduled to start at 9:45.
