Dog Found Stabbed to Death in Irving

IRVING (WBAP/KILF) – The Irving Police Department is investigating an animal cruelty case.  On February 27th a pit bull mix was found stabbed to death and tied to a dumpster in the 1800 block of West Irving Boulevard.

Detectives investigating the case found surveillance video of a man and the dog taken the night before. Police say the man can be seen walking in front of the surveillance camera with the dog before the attack and alone after the attack.

He’s describe as a thin white or Hispanic man between the ages of 40 and 50.

The DFW Humane Society if offering a $5,000 reward for tips that lead to the suspect’s arrest and indictment. Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact the Irving Police Department at (972) 273-1010 (24 hours) and reference case number 17-4507.
