Accuracy of AP Gun Control Survey Questioned

AR-15

Dallas (WBAP/KLIF News) – A new AP poll says Americans favor more gun control laws, in the wake of shootings in Dallas, Baton Rouge and Orlando.

But attorney Michele Byington with Texas Law Shield says the AP is notorious for skewing their surveys to push political agendas.

“What was the demographic?  Who did they target?” asked Byington.  “Did they target people who live in the inner city of New York, or were these folks also rural, or was it a combination of the two?”

Byington says the AP and other polling organizations time the release of their surveys to take advantage of people’s fears and emotions.

The AP survey polled 1,009 people from July 7th, the day of the Dallas Police shootings, through July 11th.
