North Richland Hills (WBAP/KLIF News) – The North Richland Hills Police Department isn’t saying much about the investigation of allegations against a volunteer at St. John Apostle Catholic Church.  But Investigator Keith Bauman says three kids are accusing a church volunteer of sexually abusing them.

“Two of the allegations were in reference to being at the property of St. John the Apostle,” said Bauman.  “The third was in reference to an allegation that happened in Colleyville.  Simply the allegation is enough to get the police involved.”

Bauman said the allegations go back several years in some cases, and the kids are now teens; they were 5-10 years old at the time.

No further details into the identities of the accusers or the volunteer are being released at this time.

The investigation began after a letter was read in Sunday’s mass, which said the church was investigating the volunteer.  Bauman said they couldn’t release any further details on the specifics of the allegations.
