FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF) – The estranged wife of Van Cliburn winner Vadym Kholodenko has been indicted on two counts of capital murder in the deaths of the couple’s young daughters.
A Tarrant county grand jury handed down the charges against 32-year-old Sofya Tsygankova.
She’s accused of smothering the girls, aged one and five, on March 17th inside their Benbrook home.
Their bodies were discovered when their father showed up for a scheduled visit.
Tsygankova has entered a plea of not guilty. She’s jailed under a two million dollar bond.
