Gator Found at Dallas School

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – Quite a surprise for a Dallas county sheriff’s deputy.

While on patrol early Wednesday morning he spotted a seven-foot alligator on the grounds of Steam middle school on South Polk street near Danieldale road.

Dallas police and the department’s helicopter were also called to the scene, along with animal control.

Officers used a pole with a noose to capture it.

Texas Department of Parks and Wildlife game wardens will decide what to do with it.
