FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF News) Some workers for American Airlines will start earning more money tomorrow. A 6% pay raise goes into effect for the Fort Worth-based company’s 25,000 flight attendants. The contract was signed more than a year ago but originally wasn’t set to go into effect until after United Airlines reached a new joint contract for its flight attendants. That hasn’t happened yet, but American says it never expected it to take so long, so it bumped up the date for its raises. Flight attendants with the company for more than 16 years are getting a bump of about $3 to $60 an hour. New hires will earn just more than $26 an hour.
