LUBBOCK – Texas Tech University has canceled its summer and fall study abroad programs in Belgium in the wake of Tuesday’s terrorist attacks. Four Texas Tech students were in Brussels at the time of the attacks according to Tibor Nagy, Tech’s vice provost for international affairs. “The students are doing a semester abroad in Spain, and had gone to Brussels for spring break. As soon as we heard about the attacks we went through our emergency protocol and got them out. They are all safe. ” Nagy said. Tech has 89 students studying in Europe this semester.
