UPDATE (6:30 a.m.) – Police in Addison haven’t yet confirmed the identity of the teen killed by an off-duty Farmers Branch officer, but family members said his name is Jose Raul Cruz.

ADDISON (WBAP/KLIF) – One person is dead after an officer-involved shooting in Addison.
It happened around 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Marsh Lane and Spring Valley Road.
An off-duty Farmers Branch police officer saw what he described as a crime-in-progress and tried to intervene. Gunfire erupted.
One person was killed, and another was wounded. The officer was not hurt. The injured suspect was taken to Parkland Hospital.
Detectives from Addison, Farmers Branch and Carrollton are involved in the investigation.
