Moving Out The Homeless

dallas tent city - credit wfaaDALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – Case workers have been assigned to begin steps to try and clear out Dallas’ largest homeless encampment.

Surveys have shown more than 300-people reside in the area below Interstate 45 near Hickory street on any given night.

Because of drug use and violence, the city has ordered the area cleared out by may.

Dallas Metro Homeless Alliance is overseeing the project. It seeks to relocate those at the camp to downtown shelters.
