Frisco Bury The Lines

Power Lines 1FRISCO (WBAP/KLIF NEWS) – Frisco is a step closer to victory in a power line dispute.

The city and Brazos Electric Power Cooperative have reached a tentative deal to have new power lines along Main Street, from west of Legacy to a power substation along Kings Road buried underground.

City councilman Tim Nelson says the 24 (m) million dollar deal will end up costing residents about 100 bucks a year.

Half of the cost will be paid by the city or donations, and the other half will be covered by the power company.

The Texas Public Utility Commission still has to sign off on the deal. It meets March 3rd in Austin.
