MANSFIELD (WBAP/KLIF News) – It’s seven years behind bars for a former Mansfield teacher’s aide.
40-year-old Jemar Simmons had already entered a guilty plea to charges of sexual assault of a child.
He admitted to coercing a female student he met in class at Timberview High School into having sex with him in the fall of 2014.
Simmons, who’s married and has two children of his own, will have to serve at least four years of the sentence before being eligible for parole.
He’ll also have to register as a sex offender.
