WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump says he hasn’t canceled a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping planned for late October in South Korea after earlier expressing anger about export controls China has placed on rare earths. Asked if he had backed out, Trump said, “I haven’t canceled.” Trump has also threatened an additional 100% tax on Chinese imports starting on Nov. 1 or sooner. But, he suggested the deadline gives him time to change his mind. He said: “We’re going to have to see what happens.”
