(WBAP/KLIF) – DALLAS, TX – The man charged with shooting and injuring three people at the State Fair of Texas in 2023 is going to prison. Police stated that Cameron Turner opened fire in the Tower Building Food Court at Fair Park. While Turner claimed self-defense, police argued that the video shows that he was alone when he fired.

On Monday, Turner reached a plea agreement before jury selection was set to begin. He agreed to serve 12 years in prison for 2 counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and another 10 years for unlawfully carrying a weapon in a prohibited place.
