(WBAP/KLIF) — The shooter in a road rage incident on a Fort Worth freeway has been captured.

It happened Tuesday night, when the suspect opened fire on another vehicle along I-30 near Cooks Lane. Several shots were fired, hitting the driver in the other vehicle. After being shot, the injured driver pulled over and jumped over the concrete barrier, where he received medical aid from passing motorists.
Fort Worth Officer Buddy Calzada says they suspect was caught with the help of Arlington Police, who provided surveillance video of the suspect’s vehicle, leading to Wednesday’s arrest of 29-year-old Curtis Wayne Medrano. Calzada says officers located Medrano and arrested him on charges of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.
Calzada says the victim remains hospitalized in serious condition.
