Midterm Election Day 2022: Polls are open

Some voters waiting in line to vote at the Fretz Park library in North Dallas say “crime, inflation and immigration” are their top concerns.

DFW (WBAP/KLIF) – Long lines are being reported at the Fretz Library polling location in North Dallas where voters are say the “crime, inflation and immigration” are issues that are top of mind for them.

The Texas Secretary of State’s Office says just under 5.5 million Texans voted early. Stan Taylor with the Secretary of State’s office says that early voting typically makes up about 60-percent of the overall vote with the remaining 40-percent vote on election day.

Early voting numbers are a little lower than norman but despite the normal trends Taylor the says his office anticipates a busy election day at the polls.
