
Texas (WBAP/KLIF) – In the GOP runoff for Texas attorney general, incumbent Ken Paxton defeated challenger current Texas Land Commissioner George P. Bush with 68% of the vote to 32%. Paxton will face Democrat Rochelle Garza, a civil rights attorney from Brownsville in November.
Businessman Mike Collier won the Democratic runoff for Texas Lt. Governor in a bid to unseat incumbent Dan Patrick this fall.
Current Republican State Senator Dawn Buckingham won handily in the GOP runoff to replace outgoing land commissioner George P. Bush; she finished with about 69 percent of the vote over Texas GOP historian Tim Westley,
And in the closely watched TX District 30 US House race, State Rep. Jasmine Crockett won the Democratic runoff to replace retiring Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson. Crockett was endorsed by Rep Johnson; she faces Republican James Rodgers in November.
