ROCKWALL (WBAP/KLIF)- The storms that rolled through North Texas early Wednesday morning were mostly non-severe, but in Rockwall county, a confirmed EF-1 tornado caused damage.
According to officials at least five homes suffered extensive damage near Rockwall.
The National Weather Service responded to the area to assess the damage, and determined an EF-1 tornado hit in the McLendon-Chisholm area, specifically in the Bluebonnet Ranch Neighborhood.
Weather crews say the tornado lasted about two minutes with wind speeds up to 100 mph.
