
UPDATE 11:55 a.m.: Denton ISD said police have given the “all clear” and campuses operations have returned to normal at Guyer High , Calhoun Middle and Newton Rayzor Elementary schools.
Denton Police said one person at Denton High School and one person at Ryan High School have been detained.
District spokeswoman Julia Zwar said two schools are still on lockdown.
” Out of an abundance of caution, local law enforcement officials are continuing a more thorough search at Denton High and Ryan High schools.” she said. ” Students and staff at those campuses continue to remain on campus. Parents should remain off campus until the “all clear” is given for those two campuses.”

DENTON (WBAP/KLIF News) – Three Denton County high schools are on lockdown as Denton Police investigate what they’re calling unsubstantiated threats.
There’s a large police presence outside Denton, Ryan and Guyer High Schools.
Denton ISD said Calhoun Middle and Newton Rayzor Elementary schools are also on a soft lockdown.
Investigators are asking people to avoid the area to allow officers to work.
