Inflation Hits DFW Harder Than Most

Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports U.S. inflation has jumped to the highest level its been in nearly 40 years. The price of things climbed 6.8% in the past year, nationally. However, inflation in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex was up 7.5%. Texas A&M researchers say that was mostly due to increases in the cost of energy, vehicles, and transportation. At the top of all that was a 70% increase in the price of gasoline.
