Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – Texas governor candidate Allen West admits to “flicking” the mask off someone at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport on Wednesday.
West, who was hospitalized with COVID-19 last month, and is not vaccinated was not wearing a mask in the airport as per federal requirements.
The retired Lt. Colonel took to Twitter to comment on the incident. He said the person called him an “idiot,” prompting West to walk over to the man. He wrote, “I pulled down his mask and said see, nothing happened.”
DFW Airport Poice were called to the scene but have yet to issue a statement. DFW airport, like all airports has federal mask requirements.
Meantime, West has scheduled a press conference today at noon in Richardson to talk “medical freedom” issues in Texas. The event will be held at 2100 North Greenville Ave.
