Grand Prairie, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – Another North Texas police officer has died from complications of COVID-19.
The Grand Prairie Police Department tweeted, “We will #NeverForget” officer Andy MacDonald who had been with the department since 1999. Other details about his life have not been released.
MacDonald is the latest in recent COVID deaths among law enforcement and first responders across North Texas. COVID is the leading cause of death for police officers in 2021 and 2020, according to the National Law Enforcement Officers’ Memorial Fund.
