(WBAP/KLIF) — Dallas-Fort Worth leads the nation in job growth according to a new labor market ranking. The Metroplex is the nation’s best-performing labor market based on “Think Why’s” Jjuly ranking of metropolitan areas across the country.
North Texas beat out the Phoenix and Austin metro areas in growth. Two of the main contributors for the top spot were net migration and job gains.
“Think Why” predicts the Metroplex will see a net migration of nearly 80,000 people this year. According to the Dallas Morning News, that number is expected to reach 84,000 by 2022.
