MCKINNEY (WBAP/KLIF) – Collin County is launching a mobile COVID-19 vaccination program.
Collin County Health Care Services said this week that mobile COVID-19 vaccination teams give the communities of Collin County even more options to receive a no cost COVID-19 vaccination.
The mobile teams will only be available via request and appointment and in accordance with staff availability.
“The will focus on traveling to homebound individuals, long-term care facilities, businesses that would like to get its employees vaccinated, organizations, clubs, and our Mobile COVID-19 Vaccination Teams will also be available for events,” Collin County Health Care Services Public Information Officer, Darrell Willis, said.
Willis said the development of the mobile teams is the result of recently acquired funding in the form of grants. The grants afforded Collin County Health Care Services the ability to hire staff to form the Mobile COVID-19 Vaccination Teams without taking existing staff away from their current roles in keeping the citizens of Collin County healthy and safe.
