FORNEY – WBAP/KLIF – Several North Texas law agencies were involved in the hunt Saturday for a prisoner that may earn the escape artist of the year award.
It started with a Forney police officer arresting the driver of a vehicle stuck in a ditch on the U S Highway 80 service road, but a struggle led to the suspect wedging his way through the patrol car’s side to side dividing windows and driving that patrol car west on Highway 80.
By the time six police departments tried to corral the suspect in the patrol car, he’d gotten away again; this time, on foot.
A caller then reported a guy wearing handcuffs sitting inside an Applebee’s restaurant. Mesquite Police arrived to make the final arrest. 26 year old Emmanuel Paramo of Bridgeport Texas faces six felony and two misdemeanor charges.
