Dozens of Cows Die After Semi They Were Loaded in Crashes in Fort Worth


Fort Worth (WBAP/KLIF) – The Fort Worth Fire Department says about 50 cows were killed when the semi trailer they were loaded in crashed in Fort Worth on Sunday afternoon.

The truck went off the road on West Loop 820 near Team Ranch Rad at about 12:30 p.m. Sunday.

Spokesman Mike Drivdal told the Fort worth Star-Telegram that teams worked for nearly five hours to get inside the trailer and save what animals they could – 20 cows were saved.

The driver had minor injuries from the crash.

No word on what caused the driver to leave the road.
