
SAN ANTONIO (WBAP/KLIF) – JBSA Lackland Air Force base in San Antonio was on lock-down for several hours on Wednesday following reports of an active shooter.
According to officials at the base, two gunshots were heard outside of one of the entrance gates.

Just after 2 p.m. the lock down was modified. Officials said the initial investigation didn’t find anything, but they are following up on leads related to what exactly occurred.
“Ultimately we responded as appropriately, and didn’t determine anything up front,” said Lt. Col. Brian Loveless. “Upon further review and investigation, we are trying to investigate a couple of leads to confirm gunshots actually did take place.”
No injuries were been reported.
