Undated (WBAP/KLIF) – Today is the day north Texans settle several run-off elections. Fort Worth voters will be choosing a new mayor. They’ll pick either Deborah Peoples or Mattie Parker to be the city’s first new mayor in a decade. Peoples was a former Democratic Party chairwoman who, if elected, would become Fort Worth’s first black mayor. Parker is a former top aide to outgoing mayor Betsy Price, and has been endorsed by both Price and Governor Greg Abbott.
Arlington voters will also be choosing a new mayor between runoff candidates Jim Ross and Michael Glaspie.
