GRAPEVINE, TX – A suspect was identified in the case of the Uber driver who was attacked and stabbed last week by a passenger but the suspect died before he could be arrested.
The suspect, Cesar Soto, was involved in an unrelated fatality crash in Weatherford this past Friday.
Early last week, a Uber driver was dropping off a passenger outside the Amli Apartments when the passenger attacked him.
The driver was stabbed multiple times before the suspect got in the driver’s seat and drove off.
Police recovered the stolen vehicle, abandoned in Colleyville, and the weapon used in the assault.
Soto was identified, but only after that suspect had perished in an accident.
