CARROLLTON (WBAP/KLIF) – The Carrollton Police Department is investigating an early morning shooting in the Police department parking lot.
According to Police, three officers were standing in the parking lot in civilian clothes before the 5 a.m. shift change on Thursday when someone drove by and opened fire.
“First they heard a gunshot, which got their attention,” said Officer Jolene DeVito. “And as they turned in the direction of it to figure out what was happening, then came a series of seven to eight more shots.”
DeVito said officers took cover and the suspect vehicle drove away. No one was hurt.
Carrollton PD, the ATF, and the FBI are now investigating the shooting.
“We’re out there collecting evidence,” said DeVito. “We’re reviewing surveillance footage in the area.”
Anyone with any information on the shooting is asked to call Police.
