Suspect Identified in Bryan Mass Shooting

BRYAN (WBAP/KLIF) – At least seven people, including a State Trooper were injured, and one person killed, in a shooting at a Bryan business park on Thursday.  Police have identified the suspect in the shooting that took place at Kent Moore Cabinets in Bryan as 27 year-old Larry Bollin of Grimes County.

According to authorities, Bollin left the scene before Police arrived but was later apprehended during a pursuit in nearby Grimes County.   Four people are reportedly in critical condition, one is non-critical. A DPS trooper was shot while pursuing an individual suspected of being involved in the shooting. He remains in serious but stable condition.

“I have been working closely with the Texas Department of Public Safety and the Texas Rangers as they assist local law enforcement on a swift response to this criminal act,” said Governor Greg Abbott. “Their efforts led to the arrest of the shooting suspect. The state will assist in any way needed to help prosecute the suspect. Cecilia and I are praying for the victims and their families and for the law enforcement officer injured while apprehending the suspect.”

Police confirm one person was killed and five others were shot Thursday afternoon at Kent Moore Cabinets in Bryan. A Texas Department of Public Safety trooper was also shot in Grimes County in connection to the Bryan business shooting. DPS officials say Bollin was taken into custody in Bedias, but haven’t ruled out whether another suspect was involved.

The Texas Department of Public Safety confirmed a State Trooper was shot.

 

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
