SUEZ, Egypt (AP) – After being stuck sideways for almost a week across the Suez Canal, a massive container ship is now free and on the move.
On Monday, crews managed to free the Ever Given using a flotilla of tugboats and helped by the peak of high tide, according to the Associated Press.
It’s a situation that threw a wrench into the billion-dollar global shipping trade.
The Suez Canal is one of the world’s most crucial arteries for trade.
