Undated (WBAP/KLIF) – A group of congressional Republicans, including Texas Senators John Cornyn and Ted Cruz, will be taking a firsthand look Friday at what they’ve been saying is a growing crisis on the border. All 17 of them plan to tour federal facilities in the Rio Grande Valley, and spend time with Border Patrol agents. ICE statistics show nearly 10,000 minors from central America crossed illegally into the United States without their parents in February, nearly double January’s number, and the Border Patrol notes the peak months for such migration are traditionally March through July.
