Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) — John Peter Smith Hospital had to scramble to get rid of soon to expire COVID-19 vaccines.
Snow and ice covered roadways caused vaccine clinics in Tarrant County to shut down leading to hundreds of doses of vaccine to be near their expiration date. With quick thinking, JPS called patients who had been on its waiting list to come by. Close to a thousand doses were administering within a couple of hours.
The hospital was also able to help Cook Children’s hospital administer a couple of dozen doses that were soon to expire as well.
