PLANO (WBAP/KLIF) – Collin County temporarily suspended registration for its COVID-19 vaccination wait list this week.
Vaccinations are happening at hubs across Collin County, but if you haven’t already signed up on the county’s wait list you won’t be able to until supply can better meet demand.
“Our wait list now is over 275,000 people,” said County Judge Chris Hill. “We get 2,700 doses a week from the state.”
Registrations for vaccine on the county website is suspended until the amount of available vaccine increases. Hill said the county is working with state leaders to get an idea of when that will happen.
“They’ve told us that they are hearing from the Federal government that come late February more vaccines will be provided to the states, which will them to provide more to us on the local level,” Judge Hill said.
In the meantime, Hill insisted that vaccinations will continue for those who have already signed up.
