City of Frisco Launches COVID Vaccine Wait List Independent of Collin County

(City of Frisco)

FRISCO (WBAP/KLIF) – The City of Frisco launched its own COVID-19 vaccination wait list this week, separate from Collin County’s registration.

According to Collin County, officials from the City of Frisco informed the county on Tuesday that after further consideration it won’t  be using the Collin County Vaccine Wait List to schedule vaccine appointments.

“Frisco officials have elected to develop their own vaccine registration process to distribute the 7800 vaccine doses provided to the city by DSHS,” read a statement from Collin County. “We apologize for this change and any confusion or frustration that occurs as a result.”

The public may sign up for the City of Frisco registration list at https://www.friscotexas.gov/1704/vaccine-information.

The county said that Collin County Health Care Services received 9,750 vaccine doses from the Texas Department of State Health Services for the week of February 1, and CCHCS is scheduling vaccine appointments for individuals registered on the Collin County Vaccine Wait List. The City of McKinney is also scheduling vaccine appointments from the Wait List, using 7,800 vaccine doses received from DSHS for this week. Texas Health Resources (THR) has also provided 3,300 vaccine appointments to individuals from the Collin County Vaccine Wait List.

According to Collin County officials, as of Wednesday morning, there were more than 241,000 individuals on the county Wait List.
