Austin (WBAP/KLIF) – Judge Janis Graham Jack found the state in contempt for exposing thousands of children in its foster care program to what she says is “an unreasonable risk of serious harm.” Judge Jack is threatening to levy fines of $75,000 a day beginning January 3rd unless she gets an electronic readout of each home or facility’s five year history on maltreatment and corporal punishment. She ordered the state to provide her with that information more than a year ago. To this date it has not done so.
