Austin (WBAP/KLIF) – The Texas unemployment rate increased to 8.1% in November, from 6.9% in October. That means Texas is well above the national average, and has been for more than four months. It also means more than 290,000 DFW residents are out of work, and looking. The problem for them is there are now almost half a million fewer jobs than there were a year ago.
